These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Screen Tester ("we", "us" or "our"), the operator of screentester.co. They apply whenever you visit the site or use any of its screen tests, tools, guides or contact form (together, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
These Terms work together with our other policies, which also apply when you use the Service:
If anything in those policies conflicts with these Terms, these Terms apply.
Subject to these Terms, we give you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use the Service. In practice, that means you can:
The Service is free and requires no account. We may limit or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms.
To keep the Service free, safe and working for everyone, you agree not to:
If you would like to use our content or tools in a way not allowed here, for example in a publication or a commercial product, please contact us first.
Some tools show rapidly flashing colors, bright full screen light or loud sounds. Use them with care, and stop if you feel unwell.
You use the tools at your own risk and are responsible for using them safely.
Our tests are designed to make screen faults easy to see, and we work hard to keep our guides accurate. However:
Decisions you make based on our tests or guides, such as keeping, returning or repairing a device, are your own. See our Disclaimer for more.
The Service and everything on it, including the text, guides, tools, code, test patterns, designs, graphics, logos and the Screen Tester name, are owned by Screen Tester or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.
The Service links to, or relies on, websites and services run by others, such as manufacturer support pages, Trustpilot, social networks, the FormSubmit form service and Google Fonts. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies or availability. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
We aim to keep the Service available and working well, but we do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device and browser. We may add, change, suspend or remove any tool, page or feature at any time, with or without notice.
The Service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service or its results will meet your needs or be free of errors, viruses or other harmful components.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Screen Tester and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or use, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes decisions made based on test results and any effect on your device.
Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to 100 US dollars (USD 100).
Some places do not allow certain warranties to be excluded or liability to be limited. In those places, these limits apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing in these Terms affects rights you have that cannot be waived by contract.
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Screen Tester and its team from any claims, losses, damages and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the Last updated date at the top of this page, and for important changes we will add a clear notice on the site. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
If you have a question about these Terms, please get in touch.
